Inspired a bit by a trip to Nova Scotia in the fall.  This is a painting of the imagination - mists permeate the ghostly trees, an eerie light filters through the clouds, water shimmers on the forest floor.  It is not "realism" - it is a forest that lives in the mind.  Does not require framing (it is painted on sides), but would lend itself to various styles of frame including subdued wood or gold baroque.
